It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas… Paris Party Dress Style!

I am really excited to share this new pattern with you!! Rebecca from Mummykins and Me is at it again with another fantastic PDF pattern.  The Paris Party Dress is a gorgeous and stylish pattern with so many options.  There is both a womens and girls pattern available.  The top is knit and can be made with a scoop or boat neck, as well as 3 different sleeve lengths.  The skirt is made with woven fabric and has 3 different length options as well.

For this project I had a Christmas Dress in mind for my middle daughter. {you know, the sassy one 😉 }  We went with a short sleeve, boat neck, crop top in a green scuba knit that I picked up from my local Joann’s.  The skirt is a plaid tea length with an exposed zipper.  While i’ve been sewing pretty regularly for about a year now, this was my first attempt at a zipper, pleats, and button holes.  I was a little intimidated by the thought of incorporating so many new techniques.  Rebecca does a wonderful job of walking you through the steps in her tutorial and I am excited to report I am ready to sew button holes on EVERYTHING!

While I think this pattern achieves a perfect Christmas dress, fabric selections can completely change the look!  Make sure to check out some of the other looks created during this pattern test: Valerie from Elegantine, Emily from The Sew and Tell Project, and Tasha from Sewn at Seams.

Happy Sewing!!
